Bonsoir,

Good stuff!

At that point, he indicated that he was planning to release "an enlarged edition with abstracts and links to available theses on the net".

Ouep.
Psychological processes in perceived paranormal phenomena, Van Arsdall, Stephanie Ann
de CSU.
Et
Dallas, Roswell, Area 51: A social history of American "conspiracy tourism", McGinnis, Shelley E. de l'Université North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

En fait, je cherchais l'article Imprecision and uncertainty in the UFO database model qui était dans la liste.
Or, l'article n'a rien à voir avec les OVNI (UFO), UFO signifie ici Uncertainty and Fuzziness in an Object-oriented.

Spoiler:

A master thesis in cultural history.
Åndheim, Tomas: Lysene over Hessdalen.
(The lights over Hessdalen. A study of discursive tensions in stories about mysterious lights in a norwegian mountain valley.)
Master Thesis, History of Culture, University of Oslo.
[Sørtrøndersk; meaning from Sør-Trøndelag, the county where Hessdalen is situated]

summary

The lights in Hessdalen was first seen in December 1981, mass media, UFO-dedicated, skeptics and local observers speculated about what this could be. The lights have not been given a valid explanation everyone can get behind, but in the over 30 years it has been suggested many explanations of what lights can represent.

In this paper I have seen on exploring how the various players have seized on different meaning potential in the lights. I have explored how meaning potential is related to discursive tilskrivninger which has a controlling effect on how it is possible to talk about the lights. As a UFO lights can generate an exciting adventure story about meeting with something that might be of extraterrestrial origin. As a natural phenomenon lights can however generate data and final reports.

Tensions between different discursive tilskrivninger is in this paper understood as meaning negotiation and discursive struggles over the definition of power. The major difference is thus based on the discourse analysis, but also in the narrative and bakhtinsk understanding of ytringsskjeder.

In the analysis chapters, I have seen the formation of opinion based on the lights in Hessdalen in the form of newspaper articles, books and television programs. I have explored how these texts have been authorized by the various discursive resources they different players have been able to draw on. In this context, I particularly looked at how a UFO discourse, one science discourse and religious discourse has regulated who has been able to tell and who has been able to interpret.

Supernatural Support Groups: Who Are the UFO Abductees and Ritual-Abuse Survivors? by Christopher D. Baber.
Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion 42:4 (2003) 669–678.

Abstract:
In the 1980s two different groups emerged that exhibited a strikingly similar combination of the quasi-religious and psychotherapeutic—UFO abductees and ritual-abuse survivors. Both movements focused on healing members from
victimization they had experienced at the hands of beings of often supernatural power. Further, both movements attempt to use techniques developed in psychotherapeutic circles, such as hypnosis, art therapy, and role playing, to recover “repressed” memories at the hands of these abusers. This article presents the results of surveys of 55 UFO abductees and 51 ritual-abuse survivors. Both UFO abductees and ritual-abuse survivors are compared to the general population in terms of their gender, age, race, marital status, education, and occupation. It is determined that the demographics of these two fledgling movements closely mirror those of other NRMs.

Bonjour,
